Maternal-Child Health serves mothers during their reproductive age and children. Improving the well-being of mothers, infants and children is an important public health goal for the United States. Our goal is to ensure patient satisfaction by improving the quality of care provided to all our populations.
Maternal-Child Health is divided into the following five units:
Labor & Delivery: This unit consists of laboring beds, three operating rooms and three post-anesthesia care units.
3M: Our mother-baby unit consists of 27 maternal beds and a 12-bassinet nursery.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): This 18-bed unit serves a neonatal population ranging from premature, critical care patients to our intermediate care nursery. These babies may remain on the unit for weeks at a time depending on the level of prematurity.
Pediatrics: This is an 11-bed unit caring for our pediatric population from babies to 21 years of age.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): This six-bed unit cares for pediatric patients requiring critical care, ventilation care and post-operative care.
