Imaging Center Opens in Brooklyn
Brooklyn Imaging, a partnership between New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), one of the leading oncology practices in the nation, and The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC), a community hospital in Fort Greene/Downtown Brooklyn, reached a significant milestone by opening its newly established diagnostic imaging center at 172 Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, just across the street from the recently opened 10,000 square-foot Brooklyn Cancer Center, another similar partnership between the two institutions.
The Covid mask requirement lifted at TBHC starting May 1
In response to the state and federal government relaxation of mask mandates, and the decline in active Covid cases, masks will no longer be required for TBHC staff, patients or visitors in the hospital or at any of the ambulatory locations. Anyone choosing to still wear a mask is, of course, welcome to do so.
New Security Measures
Because the safety of patients, visitors and staff is our priority, we have implemented a high-tech weapons detection system at the Emergency Department entrance and in the main lobby. These sophisticated systems are not metal detectors and will not set off alarms for those who have medical devices such as pacemakers, metal rods and clips.
