Important Information about Paying for your Healthcare at The Brooklyn Hospital Center
This New York state law will help you avoid surprise bills and unexpected expenses when receiving out-of-network care. It protects you in case you must go out of network for a specialist or procedure when they are not available within your plan’s provider network. The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) is a participating provider in many health plan networks. Some health plans have multiple network product lines. Using the link below, you can check whether TBHC participates in the specific plan or product line which you are covered by. Physician Charges
Your insurance is billed by both the facility (hospital) and by the affiliated physicians (physicians treating you) at TBHC. Please be aware that if your physician is a non-participating provider at the hospital, the physician services associated with your hospital bill may not be covered by your insurance. This may result in an additional bill to you. This may include Anesthesiologists, Radiologists and Pathologists.
