Mission Statement
Our mission is to train our residents in a nurturing environment that enables them to provide excellent care for a diverse patient population with increasing independence and the skills to become lifelong learners through the practice of evidence-based medicine.
Curriculum
At The Brooklyn Hospital Center we teach our residents to care for patients under the supervision of experienced pediatricians. We also have daily didactic conference and other academically enriching experience in certain multiple clinical areas. Residents meet twice a year with their mentors to make and discuss an individualized learning plan and career goals. Our curriculum meets all the ACGME requirements, as well as those needed to become board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. We train our residents with progressively increased responsibility so they feel confident in any clinical setting once they graduate.
