Gulmira Sardo, MD Joins TBHC as Ambulatory Care Center Director

The Brooklyn Hospital Center proudly announces the appointment of Gulmira Sardo, MD, as the new Director of the Ambulatory Care Center. As the new director, she prioritizes health equity as a significant initiative in her mission, striving to ensure high-quality care is accessible to all.

“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Sardo, a primary care physician who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in internal medicine, ambulatory care management, and diagnostic medical sonography to her new role,” says James Gasperino, MD, VP, ACMO and Chair of Medicine. “Her professionalism and enthusiasm will be a pivotal asset in advancing TBHC’s mission to deliver quality patient care.”

Dr. Sardo earned her medical degree with honors from the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy in Kyrgyzstan and completed her internal medicine residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. In 2023 she received her MBA from St. Joseph’s College in New York. She most recently served as Medical Director of Ambulatory care at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, a role she has served since 2017. Dr. Sardo is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in diabetes care.
