Dr. Kelley Halstead, OB/GYN Joins The Brooklyn Hospital Center

The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelley Halstead, MD, as an Attending Physician in the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN).

Dr. Halstead is a woman’s health advocate who strives to help her patients live healthier lives. She prides herself on attentive, compassionate care and finds that the best part of her job is ushering a small new person into the world.

“We are delighted to have Dr. Halstead, a native Brooklynite who brings professionalism and enthusiasm to her work each and every day,” says Erroll I. Byer, Jr., MD, Chair of OB/GYN at TBHC.

Dr. Halstead was awarded her medical degree by SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, as part of a seven-year BS/MD program at The CUNY Medical School, formerly known as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at City College of NY. She finished her first two years of her OB/GYN residency at SUNY Downstate and finished the last two at The Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

In addition to delivering hundreds of babies a year, Dr. Halstead treats uterine fibroids. She sees patients at the Physician’s Pavilion at 86 Saint Felix Street, Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and at Professional Gynecological Services at 14 Dekalb Avenue, 2nd Floor, Downtown Brooklyn.
