Welcome to The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Department of Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. We are here to meet the community’s needs for high-quality general dentistry, oral medicine, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and basic and advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery, including implant surgery and prosthetic reconstruction and implant care.

Our center is staffed by a highly qualified team of dedicated dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Our staff is made up of friendly and capable dental assistants and administrators who are committed to providing our patients with excellent patient care.

Our attending oral and maxillofacial surgeons are well trained to provide high-tech, cutting-edge treatment such as custom-made, computer-generated total TM joint replacements and the placement of zygomatic maxillary implants for patients in need of dental implants but are lacking in adequate foundational bone. Our staff is well trained in the use of platelet-rich therapy growth factors (derived from individual’s own blood) for the reconstruction of jaw defects due to pathology.

We also use the latest titanium mini-bone plates to capably treat all facial bone and jaw fractures and possess all the latest high-tech equipment needed to provide the best treatment for oral/jaw pathology and reconstruction. Our department is also a referral center for patients suffering with TMD/TMJ problems. We offer the latest in treatment options including Botox, arthrocentesis, arthroscopy and total joint replacement.

Additionally, our oral surgery department also has available outpatient sedation services for appropriate patients while undergoing wisdom teeth removal or even for routine exodontia. We also as having the ability to take 3-D cone beam imaging studies.

Ricardo Boyce, DDS, Director of General Dentistry, is oral medicine trained and is involved in the dental management of patients with complex medical histories, as well as providing comprehensive dental care to mentally and physically challenged patients in the operating room under general anesthesia. Our department also is home to a fully accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Residency Program, as well as a one- and two-year General Practice Residency Program.

We enthusiastically welcome new community patients to our modern up-to-date facility, which meets and exceeds all national standards for infection control and sterility.

Sincerely,
Harry Dym, DDS
