The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) continues to celebrate its 175^th Anniversary as Brooklyn’s first voluntary hospital by recognizing iconic individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the well-being of Brooklyn’s vibrant, dynamic community. The TBHC Board Chair and 175^th Anniversary Co-Chair, Lizanne Fontaine, will announce the next group of medalists, who represent some of Brooklyn’s most extraordinary women. They will be presented with 175^th Anniversary Medals at Lafayette 148 New York’s new location inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Event host, Deirdre Quinn, Lafayette 148’s CEO & Co-Founder, is a recent addition to The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Board of Trustees. The evening’s honorees include:

• Emme Levin Deland — Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, has spent 35 years in academic centers including New York-Presbyterian, Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Prior to healthcare, Ms. Deland was an international banker at Chemical Bank.
• Jennifer Eisenstadt —  Principal of Jennifer Eisenstadt Design & Consulting, LLC. Her work focuses on both high-end residential and commercial projects. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Cottages & Gardens, Domino and AD online. Prior to establishing her design practice in 2006, she was an advertising executive at J. Walter Thompson. Her community and philanthropic leadership roles are many including serving on the Boards of Trustees of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the historic Evergreens Cemetery and being a founding member of A Better Way, Brooklyn, a grass-roots community organization that was formed in response to the DOT’s proposed plans to build a six-lane highway atop the historic Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Jennifer earned an A.A.S. from the New York School of Interior Design and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business. She and her husband, Steven, live in Brooklyn Heights with their three children. As a family, they are deeply engaged in supporting the borough’s important causes.
• Niki Russ Federman — Fourth generation owner of famous Russ & Daughters (established 1914). Under her leadership, the business has expanded to new locations with Russ & Daughters Cafe on Orchard Street in Manhattan, Russ & Daughters at The Jewish Museum and Russ & Daughters at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, an 18,000 square foot “appetizing factory,” whose bakery and appetizing counter are open to the public. A Park Slope native, Niki is raising her family in the same neighborhood she grew up in.
• Sukanya Krishnan — Six-time Emmy Award winning news anchor with 25 years on the air in Mornings in NYC at FOX5 and WPIX-TV11. “Suki” was the first South Asian to anchor the news in the #1 market in the country.
• Jeanine D. Liburd — Chief Social Impact and Communications Officer for BET Networks, a unit of Viacom. She has also worked on urban and family policy at the local and national levels, holding positions at the Department of Health and Human Services and The White House under the Clinton administration.
• Regina Myer — President of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership (DBP), a not-for-profit local development corporation that serves as the primary champion for Downtown Brooklyn as a world-class business, cultural, educational, residential and retail destination. Prior to that, she served as President of Brooklyn Bridge Park where she oversaw the dramatic transformation of 1.3 miles of industrial waterfront into one of New York City’s most popular destinations and one of the most lauded urban parks in the country. She was also Senior Vice President for planning and design at the Hudson Yards Development Corporation and the Brooklyn Borough Director for the New York City Planning Department. Myer received her BA and Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, and resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
• Tina Novogratz — Real estate entrepreneur who recently renovated one of Brooklyn’s most iconic Romanesque Revival houses built in the late 1880s by Thomas Adams, founder of Chiclet chewing gum. She serves on the boards of Berkeley Carroll School and the Brooklyn Children's Theatre.
• Victoria Schneps-Yunis — On-Air Personality & Co-Publisher/President, Schneps Media which includes: Brooklyn Paper, Courier-Life, Brooklyn Family magazine and Brownstoner.com. Her media company owns more than 70 publications across New York City, Long Island and Westchester. Ms. Schneps-Yunis is also the Founder and major advocate for Life’s WORC, an organization dedicated to those with developmental disabilities and autism.
• Leslie Griesbach Schultz — Past Interim CEO, Inspirica: from homeless to home, and past President of BRIC where she successfully developed BRIC House, a major new arts-and-media complex in Downtown Brooklyn, and led the organization through a period of remarkable and sustained growth, including a 435% increase in annual revenue.
• Iris Weinshall — The New York Public Library's COO & Treasurer responsible for the Library's expense and capital budgets, its $1 billion endowment and construction projects across the system's three boroughs. Previously she was the Vice Chancellor at City University of New York, and she served as Commissioner of NYC's Department of Transportation under Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg. A Brooklyn native and lifelong supporter, Iris lives in Park Slope.

This group of women join NYC Council Majority Leader, Laurie Cumbo; The Fort Greene Park Conservancy; Walt Whitman; Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams; Dr. Arthur Klein, President, Mount Sinai Health System; Deborah Schwartz, President, Brooklyn Historical Society; Frank Coleman Hamm, Former Chair, TBHC Department of Urology; and Charles and Irene Hamm who were previously selected as 175^th Anniversary Medalists in 2019.
