TBHC was the only hospital to attend the block party with elected officials

The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) joined the community block party thrown by State Assembly Member Walter T. Mosley, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, NYC Council Majority Leader Laurie Cumbo and State Senator Velmanette Montgomery. The festivities took place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn on Hansen Place between Fort Greene Place and South Elliot Place on September 7.

The block party was an opportunity for the community to get together have fun and learn more information about services from participating organizations. TBHC offered free giveaways, answered questions, handed out health information and gave free health screenings. The day continued with face painting, book mobile, rock climbing wall, bouncy house and live performances for families, children and adults of all ages.

“We were delighted to be a part of this block party. Our relationships with our elected officials are of utmost importance to us since together we work hard on Keeping Brooklyn Healthy,” says Gary G. Terrinoni, TBHC President and CEO.
