The Brooklyn Hospital Center
Gary G. Terrinoni has been with The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) since 2015. He has overseen an organization that is resolute in honoring its 175 years’ history in Downtown Brooklyn, and forward-thinking as it positions itself to become an indispensable healthcare provider for the one million people in North Central Brooklyn and beyond.
During his tenure, he has overseen many clinical and strategic initiatives, including a significant improvement in measurable quality and patient safety standards, a Center for Critical Care Services, a cardiac collaboration with Mount Sinai, a Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery, the launch of the Epic electronic medical record throughout TBHC’s ambulatory care network, and the start of an Emergency Department renovation, which broke ground in early summer 2019 with the help of a $25 million transformation grant from New York State’s Department of Health.
A compelling voice for better healthcare access, Mr. Terrinoni represents the hospital’s unique perspective to Albany, Washington DC, and closer to home. Under his leadership, he has strengthened bonds with nearby iconic institutions, grass-roots community partners and local businesses, as well as elected officials, all who share his interest in safe, quality, local care.
Before his tenure at TBHC, Mr. Terrinoni was Executive Vice President of Administration (COO) and Chief Financial Officer of Kennedy Health System. The System, located in Voorhees, New Jersey, includes three acute-care hospitals. A certified public accountant, Mr. Terrinoni received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from Loyola University Maryland.
