Coco Jones Delivers Happiness to Young Patients at The Brooklyn Hospital Center with Starlight Children’s Foundation

Acclaimed actress and singer Coco Jones recently visited The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC), bringing joy and comfort to young patients and their families during the holiday season. Partnering with Starlight Children’s Foundation, Coco distributed Patient Activity Kits (PAKs) filled with toys, activities and resources designed to provide playful distraction and emotional support for hospitalized children.

Engaging with children and their loved ones, she offered words of encouragement, listened to their stories, and created moments of connection. Her visit was a heartfelt effort to brighten the day for kids and their families, reminding them that hope and happiness can flourish even in the most challenging times.

The event was made possible through Starlight Children’s Foundation, the nonprofit that has transformed hospital experiences for seriously ill children since 1982. Through its innovative programs — like Starlight Toy Deliveries, Gaming Stations, and whimsical, kid-friendly hospital gowns — Starlight delivers happiness to pediatric patients in over 800 hospitals across the United States. The organization has partnered with Brooklyn Hospital Center for more than 17 years, working with its clinicians and child life teams to support the emotional well-being of young patients and their families.

Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation, said, “We are so grateful to The Brooklyn Hospital Center for hosting this event with Coco Jones, who helped deliver Starlight PAKs to patients. Visits like these are so meaningful when kids cannot celebrate with friends and family during the holiday season. We’re also grateful to Coco for her support in helping us advance our mission of delivering happiness to hospitalized kids and their families.”

Noah Kondamudi, MD, Chair of TBHC’s Pediatrics Department said, “It was wonderful seeing the smiles as children, parents AND staff realized who was there right in Brooklyn visiting with them. It definitely added a wonderful lift to our seasonal spirits.”

Starlight Children’s Foundation supports more than 3 million children annually, helping them navigate their medical journeys. By working with hospitals like Brooklyn Hospital Center, Starlight ensures that children and their families receive the emotional support they need at critical moments. With advocates like Coco Jones joining their mission, Starlight continues to deliver happiness and transform lives, one hospital visit at a time.
