TBHC Archive

Over the past year, The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation has regularly featured an inside look into our historical archive in our monthly enewsletter. As we trace our hospital's history since 1845, we are continually uncovering artifacts, such as antique medical equipment, documents from our founding year, vintage nursing uniforms, thousands of timeless photographs and admission and discharge statistics from our earliest days. As part of our 175th Anniversary Celebration, we are creating a permanent display of these items to showcase our historic contribution to Brooklyn.

The Foundation is now accepting donations of unique TBHC memorabilia and artifacts from the public. Do you or someone you know have a piece of TBHC history buried in your home or office and don’t know what to do with it? Do you have in-depth knowledge about our history or notable figures from our past such as Dr. Walter E. Reed?  Well, the Foundation would love to hear from you! Please contact Amanda Dorn in the Foundation Office at adorn@tbh.org or (718) 250-6514 to learn more about contributing to this project.
