Guide To Our Hospital

Before You Arrive
Here is some helpful information to help you prepare for your hospital stay.

Medications

While you are a patient, all of your medications must be issued from the Hospital Center Pharmacy. Your physician should be aware of all your medication needs, and will arrange to have your medications (including those you take regularly) provided for you. Please notify your nurse if you have brought any of your own medication.

Planning in Advance
Our Bioethics Committee provides consultative assistance on issues of patient care as well as advance directives. The committee may be contacted through the Professional Services Department by dialing x8320.

Smoke-free Environment
Because we care about your health and safety, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Hospital Center. We ask that everyone, patients and visitors respect this policy.

Personal Property
Please leave your valuables at home. If you do have valuables with you, we ask that you check them when you are in the Admitting Office or Emergency Department. Please arrange for their pick-up by a member of your family, or pick them up when you are discharged.

Special Meals
Kosher Meals Available
Glatt kosher meals are available on request.

Cellular Telephones
Please refrain from using cellular telephones while inside the hospital. If you need to use your cellular phone, please step outside the building. For your convenience, public pay phones are located throughout
the hospital.
