Graduate Medical Education (GME) at The Brooklyn Hospital Center is committed to top-quality patient care and teaching new generations of doctors. Under the guidance and supervision of dedicated faculty, residents advance in their ethical, professional and personal development while insuring appropriate care for patients. EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

The Hospital’s Health Sciences Library is directed by a full-time medical librarian. The Library subscribes to OVID's online full-text journals, has 1,325 books and each year acquires about 350 new medical titles. The library also maintains a collection of audio and videotape. Residents and faculty also have full and regular access to the library of the Weill Medical College of Cornell Medical Center and an Inter-Library Loan Program. Each resident's computer has access to the internet, as well as many evidence-based resources.

VISA SPONSORSHIP

J1 visas and a limited number of H1 are sponsored for international medical graduates for all residency programs. In order to potentially qualify, applicants requesting H1 sponsorship must have successfully passed USMLE step 3. H1 visas are not guaranteed.
