St. George's University (SGU) Medical Student Program
The Brooklyn Hospital Center is a designated Clinical Center for St. George's University medical students. A total number of 60-90 SGU medical students undergo their core and elective rotations at TBHC annually. Daniel D. Ricciardi, MD is the Director of Medical Education (DME) for SGU and is responsible for the administration of the medical student program.

TBHC/Long Island University Physician Assistant Program (TBHC/LIU PAP)
This program is jointly run by TBHC and LIU and is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA). Forty students are admitted annually to the program.

GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION
The purpose of Graduate Medical Education (GME) is to provide an organized educational program with guidance and supervision of the resident, facilitating the resident's ethical, professional and personal development while insuring safe and appropriate care for patients. The GME Center is located in the 7th floor of the Maynard Building.
John Carroll, MD, FACS is the Institutional Director for GME and is concurrently the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and the Chairman of the GME Committee. The GME Center has the authority and responsibility for the oversight and administration of The Brooklyn Hospital Center's (TBHC) eleven (11) ACGME and American Dental Association (ADA) accredited programs and is responsible for assuring compliance with ACGME and ADA institutional requirements.
The GME Committee is responsible for monitoring and advising on all aspects of residency education including duty hours and supervision, work environment, institutional policies governing resident issues and internal reviews of all accredited programs. Barbara Lingley is the GME Administrative Coordinator and in this role she coordinates all the GME-related activities and supervises the residency training program coordinators of all the clinical departments.
